Sun Voyager

Reykjavik sculptureI spent time this week sorting out my collection of photographs and sorting them into some kind of order. It is good to look back and this weeks photograph is one from our trip to Iceland in October 2017. It is the iconic sculpture on the shore in Reykjavik. It was surprisingly quiet when we passed and I was able to capture this photograph without a tourist in sight. Maybe the cold was keeping them away!

Summer Sun And Shadows

Dighty 2

I am doing a diploma in photography and I thought I’d try out some stuff I’ve learned about exposure. I was out with Max for a walk in the woods and saw this little clearing with the sun shining on it. I exposed for the highlights and the shadows turned out fine, needing just a little bit of adjustment in Lightroom.

Happy Max

Max Buddon Beach

This week we have a photograph of Max doing what Max likes best, enjoying a trip to the beach. It was a nice day at the beach at Barry Buddon, and for a change the Army weren’t using the firing range so the beach was accessible.

Arbroath Harbour Monochrome

Lobster creels

In Arbroath with Max for a walk round the harbour, we came across these lobster creels. I had the Fujifilm X-E1 with me so I thought I’d try a monochrome image for a change.

On our way back to the car we passed the back of Spinks smokehouse where they smoke the Arbroath smokies. There are a number of families in Arbroath who produce this fine delicacy located around the harbour.
